Award winning designers, Neri and Hu, have created Mercato, the most unique and well-designed dining space to house Jean Georges Shanghai Bund-side restaurant. With a ‘farm chic’ ethos, the fresh and light meals are brought to the table as they are made. Opt for the spicy crackling cheese polenta to start, followed by any of the signature pizzas although I am quite partial to the Prosciutto San Daniele and don’t leave without sampling the bittersweet chocolate budino.
