I absolutely love Greek food but it is hard to find good quality on our side of the world. Kokkari is a bit of an institution in San Francisco; it is impossible to get a reservation there unless you book well in advance so either book ahead of your trip or take a chance  getting a seat at the bar (where the full menu is served). The food was excellent (especially the watermelon and feta salad and the meatballs) and the Grecian interior wasn’t overkill which happens all to often at ethnic restaurants.
