Much like the celebrated improve sketch Saturday Night Live, Upright Citizens Brigade — or UCB as it’s better known — has similarly offered the comedy world its fair share of talent. The theatre, located on Franklin Ave opposite the Church of Scientology Celebrity Centre, is a great place to catch a cheap and cheerful show on any given night. With tickets ranging between $5 -$10 and best bought online beforehand to ensure your place (they usually have three shows per evening), the little strip of bars, cafes and interesting book stores that surround it make for a great place to spend a casual yet cultured evening watching some up-and-coming talent.
