Pegged as one of the city’s most talked about new openings, Kismet is turning our attention to the suburb of Los Feliz. The sleek new addition to the Griffith Park neighbourhood is a collaboration between the revered Madcapra team (Brooklyn chefs known for the falafel they serve up at Grand Central Market) and the incomparable Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo (of Jon + Vinny’s fame).

Though you might not pick it from the pared back (Jon + Vinny-esque) interior, they are serving up all-day fare with a Middle Eastern bent — think Turkish brekkie through to rabbit kebabs. Menu highlights include crispy rice with a runny egg yolk, lemon chicken pies and kohlrabi salad with toasted pine nuts.
