Briar Hickling is a founding partner of Linehouse, an interdisciplinary architectural design practice based in Shanghai, China and Hong Kong, established in 2013. Linehouse has been featured widely by the press around the world, including Wallpaper*, FRAME, Perspective Magazine, AD Germany, ELLE Décor Italia, GQ, Dezeen.com, Archdaily.com, Designboom.com and countless more print and online media. Briar received a Bachelor of Interior Design at Massey University, Wellington. Prior to starting her own practice in Shanghai, she was a senior associate for Neri & Hu, from 2009-2014, one of China’s leading architectural and design practices, working on projects in Asia, Australia and the UK, for internationally acclaimed chefs such as Jean- George and Jason Atherton. Prior to moving to Shanghai, Briar worked in Wellington for Allistar Cox, one of New Zealand’s award winning hospitality designers.
